Archive for January, 2006

I’ve been tagged by Amber, which is weird, because I’m so boring   but…here’s the boring stuff about me you never knew…

1. I only had stitches once, and I only broke one bone. The stitches were when I fell down the steps in 3rd grade and busted the inside of my mouth all up. The bone was my thumb the year I was 40, while working in the vegetable garden, which has been trying to kill me for years.

2. My favorite food is shellfish in all its various glorious forms. Tonight we had Mahi Mahi over linguini with shrimp & lobster bisque sauce on top. Yummmmmmm!  (Though I have a head cold and couldn’t taste it as well as I’d like ). With a cranberry/pecan/lettuce salad. My recipe, but Daniel made it. (With this newest  contagion, he made me tea to sip while he took over the kitchen.)

3. I used to sing Daniel and Theresa to sleep almost every night from the time they were born til they were 8 or 10 years old. Every Christmas season for years I would sing the Christmas hymns, and that’s why they (Theresa especially) know them so well, often several verses of each.

4. I’ve been driving since I was 15 and have only had one ticket (at 40 years old) and one accident (at 30 years old.)

5. I never believed I’d have a happy home, filled with peace. I still mentally pinch myself sometimes to think of the earthly blessings I’ve been given by the Lord. And the heavenly blessings too. Mark is kind and shows the gentleness of Christ. Daniel loves people, and shows it in what he does, not just what he says. And Theresa is very merciful in her thoughts and words, to me, and to everyone.

Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith. Proverbs 15:17.

So true.

Anyway, I don’t know who’s been tagged, so I tag Amy, BethAnn and Daniel Johnson.
